Favorite Rap Skits #01 Tupac's "What'z Ya Phone #"

Maybe this'll be a recurring feature, so I'll give this a number.

With "What'z Ya Phone #, we get a rare end-of-song skit of such inconsistency and comical failure that I actually want to listen to it. I just listened to it twice, and I skipped the "song" part of the song the second time around.

Anyway, there at the end of disk 1 of "All Eyez on Me," Tupac has a three-minute conversation with some girl who calls him while a sample of "777-9311" loops in the background. Right off the bat, he can't hear her properly. Then he doesn't know who she is and doesn't remember the sex they had. Then, Pac answers a question about if he's sexually interested in her with what might be the least attractive "yes" answer possible, "Does a bear shit in the woods and wipe its ass with a rabbit?" Now, if he didn't remember the sex, well...is he sure he wants to do it again? Think on it, Pac.
So he doesn't know her name, but he somehow, by the end of the conversation, knows where she lives. When she asks if she can "shift his gears," it sounds like he doesn't know what that means based on his response: "You can shift all this shit." Oh, right, he just revealed to us he's actually been in a car this whole time. And then she wants to "shift it from the back." I'm pretty sure that's his job, but anyway, he answers that with the "bear" line again, except now, the must-be-furious rabbit is "fluffy" and "white." Not so white now, are you, my furry friend. And then the disk ends.

Good job, Tupac.
