a poem

we were two of six in the audience
and two were this chinese old lady
and her daughter who talked loudly
a lot
but did know the music very well
then i came home to put life
together, particularly the san fran
hotelling
i found a burnt pepperoni in the
oven. a perfect pepperoni shape,
just black.
many colors of black
but still a round pepperoni.
and that's why my smoke detector
went off earlier today when i was
cooking dinner.
